In baking, duck eggs offer some distinct advantages: since they're generally larger, richer in fat, and have a thicker yolk, using them results in fluffier, richer, and taller baked goods. They also have firmer whites than chicken eggs, making them especially good for poaching since they tend to hold their shape better.
